Personal Data

We do not require you to create an account or submit personal information to browse the Site. We only receive personal information that you choose to send us directly—for example, the name and email address you include when you email us a question, correction, or product suggestion.

Our pet insurance comparison does not collect diagnoses, veterinary records, free-text health histories, or insurance applications. If you follow a link to an insurer, that company handles any information you provide under its own privacy policy.

Account Information

Optional accounts use Supabase Authentication. We process your email address, account identifier, and authentication details to sign you in. Passwords are handled by Supabase and are not stored by us in plain text. Signing in sets session cookies.

Pet Profiles

You may provide your pet's name, species, breed, date of birth, weight, and behavior details to personalize product recommendations. Guest profiles stay in your browser's local storage. When you are signed in and save a profile, we store it in Supabase linked to your account so you can access it on other devices. Guest profiles are only copied to your account when you choose to save them there. Other users cannot access your account pet profile.

You can edit or remove your pet profile from your account or a product category page. Removing an account pet deletes its active database record; removing a guest pet clears that browser's copy. Contact privacy@bestanything.net for account deletion or questions about your data. We do not include pet profile fields in our analytics events or retailer links.

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Site. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Site, and other technical information.
